Off the Record

The past few weeks have been pretty gloomy with bouts of rain here and there. In between the showers come bright, hot, and humid spells that leave one perspiring till no end. With such fickle weather, it's difficult to decide how to dress - should I go with fluffy and snuggly pullovers in case of a torrential downpour, or should I dress in anticipation of a blazing hot day?

Here's where layers come in. My closet is filled with basics, so naturally it all comes down to pairing and matching various pieces of clothes. On an especially busy day in school, I want to make sure my dressing is versatile (i.e. fits both weathers!) and not too clumbersome. Recently, I've been gravitating towards wearing pieces that are variations of mustard and brown, hence the dress. I love that the dress can be worn on so many different occasions depending on what you pair it with. I coupled it with an absolutely lovely blush bomber, worn off-shoulder (seems to be the new rage nowadays!), and completed the look with classic sneakers. You can never go wrong with clean sparkly white trainers!
